Stations
Building on your stations is key to the growth of your kingdom. Each building has it's own different function. At the very top of the 'Space Stations' page, you will see two links, the first being, 'Build Stations', the second being 'Constrution Status', I will expain both below.
When you first come to the space stations page you will be brought straight to the 'Build Stations' page.
The first thing that you will see on this page is information on your platforms, this information includes, the total amount of platforms that you have available to build on, how much money and deterium it will cost you to build on all of these platforms, and finally how mnay platforms you can build on at this moment in time. Below all of this information are the space stations that you can build on to your platforms, it will show you how many of those space stations your currently have, how many your currently building, and the maximum amount of platforms you can use to build your space stations on. If you want to build onto your platforms, type in how many of each space station you would like to build, and click carry out orders, if you want to demolish your space stations, type in how many of each space station you would like to demolish, and then where it says build, click the drop down menu and change it to demolish, and then click the carry out orders button. It is worth noting that, you can only demolish platforms thaty have been built on
The equation below will help you work out how much it will cost you to build on your platforms.
$money = money needed to build on 1 platform (space station)
$deterium = deterium needed to build on 1 platform (space station)
$money = [N of space stations] * 0.2 * [playtype build cost bonus] + 800
$deterium = [N of space stations] * 0.2 *[playtype build cost bonus] + 1000
Note: The price to build on your space stations is capped at 110k (110,000) for both money and deterium.
If you were to click on the 'Contruction Status' link at the top of the page, you will be brought to a page that tells the current status of your platforms and space stations. It gives you details on the total number of each station built, and the percentage each station has of the overal total, and finally it will tell you if you have any stations being built, including how many revs are left until those stations are built.
Below you will find a list that will explain to you everything that you need to know about all the different space station in ShadowOps.
| Key | = Population | = Money |
| | = Deterium | = Power |
| | = Crew | |
| Tax | System tax | Calculation |
| System tax | Calculation |
| System tax | Calculation |
| | 0% | 1.10 |
| 4% | 1.06 |
| 8% | 1.02 |
| | 1% | 1.09 |
| 5% | 1.05 |
| 9% | 1.01 |
| | 2% | 1.08 |
| 6% | 1.04 |
| 10% | 1.00 |
| | 3% | 1.07 |
| 7% | 1.03 |
To calculate [tax] in any of the equations below, you must first find out what your system tax is. After you have found out what your system tax is, find it on the table above, once you have found it, next to it in the calculation column will be the number that you must input into the calculation where [tax] is (for instance, if your system tax is set to 5%, input 1.05 into the calculation where it says [tax]).
| Name: | Residence |
| Task: | This space station supports 100. |
| Description: |
Population is very important in ShadowOps, it is used to create crew, and scientists. You also gain an extra 4 credits per population per rev. It is worth remembering that if you have 20 population or less, and somebody steals your population via a probe attack (see the 'Probe Room'page of this help site for more details), you will die, so residence should not be neglected. Residence can be destroyed via cloak bomber attacks, so make sure that you have ample cloak seekers to stop this from happening. It is also worth noting that your max population will never drop lower then half of you platforms, no matter how many residence you have.
Below are some useful equations that may help you out.
Population income (without cloning vats):
[alert] * [tax] * [residence] * [play type population bonus] * [sellable research points bonus on population income] = population income
Population income (with cloning vats):
[alert] * [tax] * [residence] * [play type population bonus] * [sellable research points bonus on population income] * 2 = population income |
|
| Name: | Supply Depots |
| Task: | This space station supports 100. |
| Description: |
Supply depots are used to store crew, which in turn is used to build fighters, starships and cloak ships. It is worth noting that supply depots support 100 crew, with this 100 crew you can build any available starship, but for you to build fighters and cloak ships, you require fighter pads as well. |
|
| Name: | Fighter Pads |
| Task: | This space station allows you to use 20 to build fighters. |
| Description: |
A fighter pad allows you to use crew from the supply depot to create fighters, each fighter pad allows you to use 20 crew. It is worth noting that you must have supply depots to support the crew used in the construction of fighters, so unless you have supply depots, fighter pads have no use. |
|
| Name: | Deterium Mines |
| Task: | This space station gives you an estimated income of 250 per rev. |
| Description: |
Each Deterium mine you own will gather an estimated 250 deterium per rev. Unfortunatly deterium mines are susceptible to deterium missiles attacks (see the 'Missile Factory' page on this help site for more details).
Below are some useful equations that may help you out.
Deterium income (without deterium refining and enhanced deterium refining):
((550 * [deterium makers]) + (250 * [deterium mines])) * [play type deterium bonus] * [alert] * [tax] = estimated deterium income
Deterium income (with deterium refining, but without enhanced deterium refining):
((550 * [deterium makers]) + (250 * [deterium mines])) * [play type deterium bonus] * [alert] * [tax] * 1.1 = estimated deterium income
Deterium income (with deterium refining enhanced deterium refining):
((550 * [deterium makers]) + (250 * [deterium mines])) * [play type deterium bonus] * [alert] * [tax] * 1.1 * 1.15 = estimated deterium income |
|
| Name: | Solar Panels |
| Task: | This space station gives you an estimated income of 500 per rev. |
| Description: |
Each solar panel will gather and estimated 500 power per rev. Unfortunatly solar panels can be destroyed via a probe attack (see the 'Probe Room' page of this help site for more details). It is worth noting that, if the experimental artificial sun is built, then solar panels will gather and estimated 1,500 power per rev, this is more then a power reactor.
Below are some useful equations that may help you out.
Power income (without artifitial sun experimental built):
[([power reactors] * 1200]) + ([solar panels] * 500])] * [alert] * [play type power bonus] * [tax] * [sellable research points bonus on power income] = estimated power income
Power income (with artificial sun experimental built):
[([power reactors] * 1200]) + ([solar panels] * 1500])] * [alert] * [play type power bonus] * [tax] * [sellable research points bonus on power income] = estimated power income |
|
| Name: | Markets |
| Task: | This space station gives you an estimated income of 800 per rev. |
| Description: |
Each market produces an estimated income of 800 money per revolution. Money is probably the most inportant resource in ShadowOps, it is needed to build everything, but it is also useful because this is the currency used to purchase items on the black market.
Below is a useful equation that may help you out:
Money income:
([number of markets] * 800) + ([population] * 4)] * [alert] * [tax] * [sellable research points bonus on income] *[play type money bonus] = estimated money income |
|
| Name: | Missile Silos |
| Task: | This space station allows you to hold 1 missile (defensice or offensive). |
| Description: |
A missile silo holds missiles. Each missile silo can hold a maximum of 1 missile, it can be either a defensive or offensive missile. As long as you have space in your missile silo's to hold the missiles, you can purchase them off the black market without having to research them, you can also recieve missiles from your system/sector without having them researched. |
|
| Name: | Probe Silos |
| Task: | This space station allows you to hold 100 probes each, and also created 1 probe per rev. |
| Description: |
Each probe silo holds 100 probes, and produces 1 probe per rev. Probes can also be manufactured by visiting the probe room, each probe will cost you 400 money, 200 deterium, and 25 power. Probes can also be brought from the black market.
Below are some useful equations that may help you out.
Probe income (without robotic probe factory):
[probe silos] * 1 = probes recieved per rev.
Probe income (with robotic probe factory):
[probe silos] * 1.5 = probes received per rev. |
|
| Name: | Turret Support Platforms |
| Task: | This space station allows you to build 10 turrets each. |
| Description: |
Turret support platforms must be researched before they can be built. Each turret suppost platform allows you to build 10 turrets, each turrent requires 5 crew to support it, so without supply depots, turret support platforms are useless. Turrets must be turned on via the power allocation page, and require 200 power each per rev to keep online (see the 'Research', and 'Power Allocation' pages on this help site for more information on turrets). |
|
| Name: | Deterium Maker |
| Task: | This space station gives you an estimated income of 550 per rev, but requires 750 per rev to run. |
| Description: |
Each deterium maker makes an estimated 550 deterium per revolution. Unfortunatly a downside to deterium makers is that they need to be turned on to work, and require 750 power each per rev to stay online. Deterium makers must be researched before they can be built (see the 'Power Allocation' and 'Research' page on this help site for more information on deterium makers).
Below are some useful equations that may help you out.
Deterium income (without deterium refining and enhanced deterium refining):
((550 * [deterium makers]) + (250 * [deterium mines])) * [play type deterium bonus] * [alert] * [tax] = estimated deterium income
Deterium income (with deterium refining, but without enhanced deterium refining):
((550 * [deterium makers]) + (250 * [deterium mines])) * [play type deterium bonus] * [alert] * [tax] * 1.1 = estimated deterium income
Deterium income (with deterium refining enhanced deterium refining):
((550 * [deterium makers]) + (250 * [deterium mines])) * [play type deterium bonus] * [alert] * [tax] * 1.1 * 1.15 = estimated deterium income |
|
| Name: | Power Reactor |
| Task: | This space station gives you an estimated income of 1,200 per rev. |
| Description: |
Each power reactor makes and estimated 1,200 power per rev. Power reactors make nearly 2.4x the amount of power per rev then solar panels do, unless your system has built the artificial sun experimental (see the 'System Treasury' page of this help site for more information). It is worth noting that, even though power eactors make 300 less power per rev then solar panels do after your system has built the artifical sun experimental, power reactors cannot be destroyed via a probe attack whereas solar panels can.
Below are some useful equations that may help you out.
Power income (without artifitial sun experimental built):
[([power reactors] * 1200]) + ([solar panels] * 500])] * [alert] * [play type power bonus] * [tax] * [sellable research points bonus on power income] = estimated power income
Power income (with artificial sun experimental built):
[([power reactors] * 1200]) + ([solar panels] * 1500])] * [alert] * [play type power bonus] * [tax] * [sellable research points bonus on power income] = estimated power income |
