Main

The 'Main' page is the first page you see when you log in to ShadowOps. At the top of this page you will see the admin notice. This tends to show you the latest updates to the game.

The next thing you will find on this page is the voting area, in this area you will find the chance to donate to ShadowOps, view previous donators to ShadowOps, as well as (if you haven't already voted and clicked the links) 5 different links to 5 different voting sites. Each of these links will appear 1 time per day, and will disappear after the link has been clicked. The links do not carry over, for instance, if you do not vote one day, you cannot vote twice the next.

Vote site number Reward for clicking the link
Vote site #1 1 rev's worth of money
Vote site #2 1 rev's worth of deterium
Vote site #3 1 rev's worth of population
Vote site #4 1 rev's worth of random income (population, money or deterium)
Vote site #5 1 rev's worth of random income (population, money or deterium)

The next thing you will see is the notes from your system leader section. First off in this section you will see your systems current alert level, underneath that, you will see a notice from your system commander, this can only be changed by the system commander, and as long as it is not offensive of breaking any of the rules, a system commander can put anything they like as the system message. Below that will be the system events, this will show you whether you have a Gravity Well effecting your system, a Wormhole effecting your system, or whether a System Draft is active, and finally below that, you will first see who your system is at war with, and then which systems are at war with you. For more information on special events see below:

Special event Explanation of what it is
Wormhole Wormhole's speed up the return time of your attacking fleets by 20% (for more information on return times visit the 'ShadowOps Map' page of this help site).
Gravity Well Gravity well's slow down the return time of your attacking fleet by 20% (for more information on return times visit the 'ShadowOps Map' page of this help site).
System Draft When a system draft is in effect, 5%-10% (this is dependent on your tax rate, but the minimum draft is 5%) of any starships being built will be donated straight to the system fleet. Only the system commander can start a system draft and once activated a draft will last for 12 revs, and then can be activated again in 24 revs.

It is worth noting that it is possible for both the wormhole and gravity well events to occur at the same time, but there bonuses would then just cancel each other out, rendering both events pointless.

Next on the page you will find information about your account. First of all is your estimated income status (money, deterium, population, and your max population), and the general status of your kingdom. Included in this is your ruler name, battles won, battles lost, threat level, referal bonus (redunent), total networth, amount of stations, total money, deterium, power, population, scientists, probes and crew, total fighters, starships and other ships (cloak seekers, bombers and turrets) currently at home.

The second to last thing on a page is the bribe fund. Your bribe fund is a way of lowering your threat level. When your bribe fund has money in it, every hour a certain amount of it is paid to the BOTS. It then lowers your threat rating by 2 points. Your bribe fund also has a second bonus, players cannot scan, or touch any money you have in it.

For more information on BOTS and threat rating see the 'Bots' page of this help site.

Finally at the bottom of the page is a link to view your news for the past 120 revs. Whilst viewing your news you will see the date and time the event occured, as well as what the event is. There are two ways to view your news.

If you have any new news to be read, there is a link at the very top of the page, this link is usualy unclickable and says '0 New News', but as soon as any new news occurs on your account the link will become clickable, the text will turn red, and it will show you how many new news you have to read (and example of this would be '10 New News'). Once you click this link, it will take you to the main page, you will then have to scroll down to the bottom of the page to view your new news, remember, this will only show you your new news.

The second way to view your news is to scroll down to the bottom of the main page and click the Old News link, this will show you all news over the past 120 revs, this will also include new news if you have yet to view any new news you may have. Note: news is deleted after 120 revs, whether it has been read or not.
