Account Management

Users are allowed to create and maintain only one account in each Sever including MWG.

If you have more 1 account then our scanners will automatically delete the newest of them along with your main account being locked for a period of time.

For people who play from a Public Access Point, could be the local Library, School, or Internet Cafe. In these cases, you should contact the Moderator Team at the start of each round. You may not know of of this happening, but it does happen in some cases.

AOL has an unique way of dealing with its IP addresses for its customers. They like to run multiple users through a single IP and because of this it can appear to us that there is more than one person on your IP address. In these situations we ask that you sign up using an existing AOL e-mail address.

Signup

Upon signing up you must at all time use regular keys and not symbols when choosing a Kingdom name, username or password. This also includes spaces before or after your Kingdom name as well. Doing so will get your account locked until deletion.

Greenlight

A "greenlight" given within the Moderator Panel that allows users to use 2 or more accounts on their IP. Greenlights are only given to players for legitimate reasons and they must contact the Moderators before allowing another account to be made on their computer. Upon contacting the Moderators, they will ask for proof. No proof, no greenlight. This is the only way to ensure game fairness when it comes to users who secretly play with more than one account. This process will have to be repeated every round.

Greenlight will not be given to people that says "my friend wants to come over can we be greenlighted so he can log onto my PC/Laptop?" due to the fact this may possible be abused as "Account Sharing".

Greenlighted players are NOT allowed to feed 1 account over the other. Doing so will result in the account that was fed locked until deletion. Similar login times will also get you locked depending on the situation. This is to ensure people do not abuse their "greenlight" priviliges.

Account Bashing

Greenlighted players are not allowed to attack/probe the same player within a 12 hour period of eachother. This is so people that have more than one account under the same IP does not abuse the privilege or having 2 or more accounts on their IP.

Account Sharing

Under no circumstances users are allowed to share accounts. Account sharing was allowed in the past but only to be abuse by people using eachothers account to attack/probe to help eachother, even some cases involved accounts being hacked. For security reasons the Admin/Moderator team highly recommend against account sharing because in the end we can't recover your account but will lock the "hackers" account until deletion if he/she has one.

Account Transferring

Upon deleting your account you are not allowed to have two accounts opened at the same time to transfer your stuff. You are only allowed to donate and delete your original account before making a new one. People cought doing this will lose their account and all their saved funds.

Game Play

Under no circumstances are users allowed to use the aid of automated processes (Bots) to improve their performance in game or to create new accounts. Use of automated scripts or other software that accesses our sever in any way for any reason outside of normal game play is forbidden. And this could result in your IP being banned from future games on ShadowOps/MWG and other Warsome.com online games. Legal actions may also be taken in some cases at the owners discretion.

Abusing the Game or Bugs

Abusing either the game or bugs in a form of cheating and people caught abusing any bug will be deleted and banned immediately. Bugs and flaws are to be reported to the Admins right away.

If you didn't realize it was a bug you were using that's sadly not a valid excuse. If it doesn't look like something normal then it's a bug and common sense should advise you of that. Using it even not knowing that it is a bug will still see you suffer the same punishment.

Hacking is closely linked to bugs. Trying to hack the game or accessing other people's accounts through hacks or the simplicity of guessing their passwords will be deleted or banned immediately.

Treasury

Now the treasury is a key part of paying the game for many people. It is used in trading for resources and of course to other countries. Sadly some people feel they have the right to send away other peoples resources which have been saved up for a personal use or agenda. This is a very unethical thing to do and is severely frowned upon. The offender will have his account locked until deletion and the receiving country asked to send it back in full. If the receiving country does not cooperate then they will be locked until they will. In some cases the receiving country already used the stolen recourses. They will be given 12 hours to return the stolen recourses, if not the council of the country will be locked till deletion.

Now Councils must be picked carefully. Anyone on the council is still accountable for what happens. If they do it out of spite or of course for any other reason they will be locked. The only situation when sending away, the Majority or Full amount of the treasury for nothing or very little in return, is when the whole council is in agreement. This may be a tactical move for an alliance or for other reasons.

Exploitation

As a team we want to encourage new players into the game. New players are the course essential for ShadowOps/MWG to progress and stay alive. Because of this we ask that all players should answer questions fairly and not take for granted that they should just know. Giving false information to new players, using a harsh attitude towards them or simply using them for your own gains is seen as unacceptable behavior. Any cases of this being reported to us will see strict punishment in the offenders.

General Player Abuse

Any abusive behaviour is not tolerated on ShadowOps/MWG. Everyone has the same right in the game to feel welcome and doesn't have to worry about what has been deemed as cyber bullying. This will result in any name calling which can be assessed by the Moderation Team as something to an excessive nature. Calling someone a noob isn't abusive. Racism is taken extremely seriously and all cases should be reported to the Moderation Team and the Head Moderator. Each case will be looked into individually and accessed on the severity.

Private message abuse can only be seen by a Moderator if the message is reported. To report messages there is a report button in red next to the private message. You must remember to click the confirm button after pressing the red report button. Any reporting of the BOTs will not be looked at. The Terrorist/BOTs are artificial intelligence and are not real people.

Forum Rules

Chatlogs do not belong in the forums of ShadowOps/MWG, if you feel something regarding the game has been said in a chat keep it in chats or e-mail.

Posting SOMs or anything regarding another players account or System is forbidden. Doing so will get you locked and all your post deleted.

The Galaxy Forums/World Forums are a place for people to have a good time. This is why we have joke topics etc. We also encourage some decent discussions about a wide variety of things. However the General Player Abuse still apply here. We don't mind swearing. The occasional swear word is acceptable as long as it's not directed at another player. Any discussions which are going too far or are on something the MOD Team feels is unacceptable will be stopped. After the MOD team asked for such conversations to be stopped, anyone carrying the conversation on will be locked.

Accusations

Anyone who accuses someone of cheating will be locked for a certain period of time, depending on what offence number it is. If you believe a player is cheating tell a Moderator and they will look into it for you. Do not take matters into your own hands by bringing it into the forums.

Any type of abuse towards the Moderators or Admin at all will result in getting your account locked no questions asked and possible legal actions. This is one area we are very strict on. The Moderators and Admins have worked a long time to get ShadowOps/MWG up and running and we do not appreciate or will tolerate negative comments towards us or the game in any forums in game or public. We also do not tolerate abuse in chat channels of any kind.

Fair & Honorable Play

Admin's and Moderators maintain the highest standards of ethics within the game. Any instance of inappropriate language, manipulation of bugs , or acts of fraud will result in immediate removal from the game and possible banning. We rely on our users to help us enforce these rules and provide an enjoyable gaming environment for users of all ages and backgrounds. If you feel that someone is abusing any of these rules please report it to the Moderator team, if you feel their response was not adequate please report to the Admin or game owner.

Game Policies

The Moderator Team and Admins make every effort to monitor the game and ensure a fair and competitive gaming environment. Admin's and Moderators reserve the right to remove any user from the game without notice and provides no guarantee of service quality. By participating in ShadowOps you agree not to hold ShadowOps/MWG or its owners or staff responsible for any incidental damages caused by our services. This includes personal stress and issues resulting from prolonged game play. We take NO responsibility if you become addicted and begin to revolve your life around this game.

Using any medium that includes but is not exclusive to messages, notices, images, or raw text in ShadowOps/MWG for advertising without the permission of Admins is not allowed. Consent is deemed as advertising at the Admins discretion.

Breaking any of the game rules to any extent at the discretion set by the game Admins can result in legal action.

Admins reserve the right to change and modify this document at any time with little or no notice to members. It is your responsibility to check this document for changes.
