BOTS
The BOTS are server created AI players capable of attacking players, and waring systems.
When attacking a BOT (16:x), you get a +100% attack bonus, due to this, many players often choose to attack BOTS to gain valuble resources and platforms. Be warned though, that once you start attacking BOTS, they will attack you back, unless your threat level is 2 and below. It is worth noting down that a BOT will exploit your weaknesses, for instance, if you are low on fighters, a BOT will fighter attack you, the same goes for starships, it is even possible for a BOT to attack you with their cloak bombers, so be careful. When a BOT is killed, it will eventually respawn bigger and stronger then before.
The BOTS also enjoy sending random messages to everyone in the game, these messages are a bit of harmless fun, reporting and or replying to them are both pointless actions, so please do neither.
The BOTS are also in possession of special probes and sensors that allow them to share information with each other.
Threat Level
Threat level is a special indicator of your status with the BOTS in the galaxy, the higher your threat level the higher the chance of you being attacked by a BOT. If your threat level is above 2 then you susceptible to attacks from BOTS (it is also worth noting that certain threat level increase bonuses such as being in the top 10 players, allow the BOTS to attack you no matter what your threat level is, for instance, if you have a threat level of 1 or 0, but you are placed 8th on the top 100 strongest players, then it's possible that a BOT may attack you).
Ok so your larger than all the BOTS in the galaxy, there is no longer any point in lowering your threat level right? Wrong, BOTS will still attack you, causing you damage, whether it be through failed attacks, or successful attacks, on top of that, when your threat level hits 6, BOTS will start to fire EMP and Deterium missiles at you, so make sure you try and keep your threat level down no matter what.
Threat level is worked out as a balancing tool for the game. Players who are highly active and attack all the time tend to have a higher threat level then less active players.
Threat level is calculated on how many attacks you make in game, missiles held and fired, as well as system fleet/missile attacks, there are ways in which you can lower the number used to calculate your threat level, below is information that you can use to try and keep your threat level as low as possible:
1 kill removes 9 from the number used to calculate threat level.
1 loss removes 1 attack(s) from the number used to calculate threat level
For instance, if you have made 100 attacks, but have 20 losses and 3 kills, the number used to calculate your threat level will be 53.
The above statistics may not be 100% accurate, and should only be used as a guideline.
The table below will show the positive or negative effect to your threat level when certain conditions are implemented.

There are two conditions shown above that have yet to be exlained, the first is the threat level upgrade, this can be purchased through the sales page, it will cost you 5 tokens (approx $3), and as stated above, this will lower your threat level by 2 for the rest of the round.
The second condition is paying your bribe fund, every rev a certain amount (shown at the bribe fund) will be paid to the BOTS, as long as you have enough money in your bribe fund to cover these costs, your threat level will be lowered by 2.
